Management & Directors

Mike Power, M.Sc., CPG

President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Mike Power has over 30 years’ experience in the mineral exploration industry. He holds a Bachelors’ of Science in Geology and Masters’ of Science in Geophysics from the University of Alberta. In 1988 Mr. Power founded Amerok Geosciences Ltd. and served as President until merging to form Aurora Geosciences Ltd. in 2000 where he held the title of Vice-President until 2010.  From 2010-2020 he was the President/CEO of Panarc Resource Ltd., a private mineral exploration company operating in Alaska, Yukon, NWT, Nunavut and Nevada.

John Gilbert, M.Sc.

Vice President

Mr. Gilbert received a Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst and a Masters of Science degree specializing in structural geology from the University of Vermont.  Since 2008 he has worked as a geological and geophysical technician and as an exploration and mine geologist on projects in Alaska, Yukon, Nevada, California and New York.  He also ran a successful private exploration company which acquired, explored and vended gold projects in New Brunswick.

Daniel Martino, CPA, CA.

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Martino is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with over 10 years’ experience currently providing CFO and Financial Reporting Consulting services to companies listed on Canadian stock exchanges within the clean technology and mineral resource sectors. Mr. Martino had previously spent several years in assurance services for public companies at Davidson & Company LLP. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at Simon Fraser University in 2010, and received his CPA, CA designation in 2013.

Ian J. Talbot, B.Sc., LLB.

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Talbot brings over 25 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry as both a lawyer and an exploration geologist. As a geologist he has worked with both junior and major resource companies. As a lawyer, he has practiced exclusively in the areas of mining and securities law in private practice and as in-house counsel with BHP Billiton World Exploration Inc. Mr. Talbot is also the President and Chief Executive Officer of Arcus Development Group Inc., a TSX-Venture Exchange company operating in Yukon.

Glenn R. Yeadon, B.Comm., LLB.

Secretary

Glenn Yeadon is a barrister and solicitor practicing primarily in the field of securities law. He has been a partner with Tupper Jonsson & Yeadon or an associate of the firm (through a personal law corporation controlled by him) from 1983 to present. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia receiving a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1975 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1976. He is currently Secretary and Director of Strategic Metals Ltd.

Richard Drechsler, B.Sc.

Vice-President Communications

Mr. Drechsler obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia in 2007. He has worked in the mining/mineral exploration industry since 2005 including two seasons with Highland Valley Copper and six seasons with Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited. He has been providing Strategic Metals Ltd. and Silver Range Resources Ltd. with investor relations services since January 2010 and August 2011 respectively, and is currently the President and CEO of Trifecta Gold Ltd.

W. Douglas Eaton, B.A., B.Sc.

Director

Doug Eaton obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta in 1971 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of British Columbia in 1980. He has been with Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited since 1971 and has been a principal of that consulting firm since 1981. He has exceptional knowledge of Yukon geology and has contributed to several important discoveries. Mr. Eaton has served as a director and officer of numerous public companies on the TSX Venture Exchange since the mid-1980s and is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Metals Ltd.

Bruce A. Youngman, B.Sc.

Independent Director

Mr. Youngman has over twenty-five years of experience in the international minerals industry. From 2008 to 2010, he was President and COO of Canplats Resources Corporation, during which time the 4 million ounce Camino Rojo deposit in Mexico was outlined and the company was acquired by Goldcorp Inc for $300 million. Mr. Youngman previously held senior positions with Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd., including President, Vice-President and Director, and was closely involved in the acquisition and expansion of the Pebble Gold-Copper Porphyry Project in Alaska. Mr. Youngman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of British Columbia.

Tim J. Termuende, P.Geo

Independent Director

Mr. Termuende is a professional geologist with over 40 years’ experience in the mineral exploration industry, public company management and capital markets. Since leaving Cominco in the late 1980’s, Tim has worked on exploration projects throughout North and South America. Tim currently serves as Executive Chairman and is co-founder of Eagle Plains Resources, which oversees a broad range of exploration projects targeting various commodities throughout British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Yukon. Through numerous spin-outs, Eagle Plains has transferred over $100,000,000 in value directly to its shareholders; with Copper Canyon Resources, Taiga Gold and Eagle Royalties being notable examples.

Elizabeth Wallinger B.Sc., MBA., CPA.

Independent Director

Ms. Wallinger holds a B.Sc. in Earth and Ocean Sciences from the University of British Columbia, an MBA from Thompson Rivers University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant in British Columbia.  Since 2011, she has worked in the mineral exploration industry as an exploration geologist with Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited and as a corporate controller for various junior mining companies.  Ms. Wallinger is currently CFO at CABN, a green technology company advancing an innovative manufacturing process for net-zero, cost-efficient, component modular housing.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for GGL Resources Corp., a TSX Venture Exchange listed Vancouver based junior exploration company.

Steve Kenwood, P.Geo.

Independent Director

Mr. Kenwood is a registered member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. He received a Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree from the University of British Columbia in 1987.  He has experience in the area of advanced project development in northern British Columbia, southwest U.S., Central and South America, and China.  Mr. Kenwood also has over 20 years of experience with public company management and is currently an independent director of two other companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
